We are an international financial company investing across financial markets and cryptocurrency exchanges through qualified professional traders. Our goal is a reliable source of income for investors, with risk kept to a minimum.
Our infrastructure gives clients the scale of a large asset manager with the flexibility of a versatile platform — the essential building blocks for institutional and retail investors alike.
We support our colleagues, customers and clients — and the communities they operate in — by helping people and businesses unlock their potential and plan ahead with confidence, through relationships built to last.
Exceptional service sits at the heart of this. Each of our specialist businesses brings deep industry knowledge, so we understand the challenges our clients face and support them to thrive rather than simply survive, whatever the market conditions.
Expertise, service and relationships combined with teamwork, integrity and prudence underpin our approach. We also recognise a responsibility to help address the social, economic and environmental challenges facing our business and our clients.
We continue to be there for the long term, whatever the climate — making decisions that are right for today and for generations to come.
Venux Capital
We approach sustainability from three perspectives: an asset owner, an asset manager, and as a company in our own right.
Our responsibilities differ in each of these three roles, but our approach is united by one common set of principles and ambitions.
As an asset owner, we decide how money is allocated across asset classes and which managers handle it — and we set both the financial outcomes and the sustainability considerations we expect them to apply.
Where we judge that an industry has no sustainable future, we may require that our managers avoid it entirely. Our duty as an asset owner is the best customer outcome in line with our fiduciary duty, financial security included.
As an asset manager, we aim to deliver the financial outcomes and sustainability requirements set out in each fund's objectives or in our institutional mandates. Those criteria can differ between clients: the asset manager and asset owner are separately regulated businesses with independent boards, so their policies may occasionally diverge.
These apply across the investments we make as an asset manager and asset owner, and to our own operations.
How we integrate sustainability — and the governance that holds us to it.
We integrate environmental, social and governance data into analysis and decision-making across every investment team.
We are active stewards of the entities we invest in — hand in hand with our active investment approach.
ESG is built into our corporate responsibility program, including our philanthropic work and our focus on diversity, equity and inclusion.
Dedicated teams deliver our ESG strategy, policy, research, training and reporting.
We are a signatory to the Principles for Responsible Investment, a member of the UN Global Compact and Climate Action 100+, and a public supporter of the TCFD.
Our Sustainability Committee of senior leaders oversees strategy execution, supported by working groups that report into it.
We are a tightly knit group working with management teams toward common goals: more than 70 investment professionals, including 24 partners averaging over a decade with us. That stability lets us devote real time to the companies we back.
We work with portfolio company leadership to create conditions in which companies thrive, and we encourage management teams to invest alongside us. Our aim is to leave every company better than we found it.
People thrive working toward a common goal. Our transparency — and significant skin in the game — is what lets us build genuine partnerships.
At the heart of our business are our partners: the teams we back, the investors in our funds, and the advisers and lenders we work with.
We are constantly improving and committed to out-thinking our competitors. We take on what others dismiss as impossible — which is why we hire the best.
We do things the right way, first time, every time. We are direct, decisive and accountable, and we win on the merits.
We learn constantly — from each other and from inspired thinkers worldwide — pursuing ideas that strengthen our competitive advantage.
We have always believed we can make a difference through our investments. As a UN PRI signatory, we are committed to incorporating ESG considerations into our approach.
We believe markets are largely efficient, and aim to give systematic exposure to risk-based and behavioural factors that combine intelligently to deliver results.
Continual research into our strategies, ESG approaches included, keeps style and returns consistent while we evaluate new data and quantitative methods.
We have long accommodated client-specific exclusions — securities deemed socially or environmentally undesirable, or tied to regions where human rights abuses are prevalent.
We also vote proxies for clients who grant us the authority. Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) provides the research and execution while we retain directive control, and we typically follow the ISS Socially Responsible Investing guidelines.
Disciplined risk estimation is built into the investment process behind every one of our strategies.
A well-constructed portfolio outperforms in good markets and protects capital in difficult ones. We have spent over a quarter of a century making risk management a core discipline, overseen by a dedicated governance group and strengthened by liquid markets, proprietary risk models and a diversified funding structure.
Independent of the investment businesses and reporting to the CEO, the Portfolio Construction and Risk Group guides risk capital allocation, supported by a dedicated R&D team.
Our Risk Management Center gives a complete view of every portfolio against pre-established guidelines. Connected to each of our offices worldwide, it continuously runs operational readiness, risk and stress-test monitors.
Before a trade, the group identifies its impact on portfolio risk and stress exposures. Afterwards, it evaluates each business on skill, infrastructure, risk and capital use — feeding straight back into risk capital allocation.
A framework alone is not enough: risk management works only when it is central to how managers analyse trades and build portfolios. Continuous collaboration with the investment teams is what sustains that culture.
